Playing at Home

I was cleaning house today while River and Daddy played some. When I was finished I went to find them. The lighting was just great in our room so I was able to get a few good shots of River. As you can see in one of the pics he is looking outside the window. He wants to be outside as much as he can, and when he is inside he is looking outside as often as he can. He is also standing on his own sometimes. He doesn't know he can do it yet so he grabs something when he realizes he is standing. This time he was playing with the hangar for several minutes standing and never even knew it. Everyday with River is a fun day that is for sure!!

and if it couldn't get any better, River likes to get into the cabinet where I keep the dog food. He is looking for strays. He LOVES dog food and he loves his dogs. It is super cute really. SO I got a few shots of himinthe cabinet and coming out. Enjoy!

New Friends

We had a friend come over on Wednesday and bring their 5 mo old Pit Bull puppy to play. His name is Chopper. He is a Blue Brindle colored pit. He is soooo cute and sweet. The dogs loved him, that post is coming soon, but RIver LOVED him too. He already loves dogs because of his 2, but he had so much fun playing, following and kissing Chopper when he was here. It was really hard to get clear pics when they were inside because the lighting wasn't great and Chopper can MOVE let me tell you! So here are a few pics of River's Wednesday playtime!

California Sunsets

Who doesn't love a beautiful sunset on the beach in California or the west coast? I know I sure do. In my opinion the days before a full moon the sunsets are more colorful and more outstanding, but this isn't always true. Fall time has more elaborate sunsets in general though. Here are a few sunsets I captured this fall

Devon

Got some great shots of Devon. HE is 4 years old and such a mature kid really. We just had some fun with the camera in these pics. I hope you like them...

Karlyn loves Pie

haha that is what she always says about herself. SHe is my beautiful, sweet, 15 year old niece. Karlyn is always a pleasure to bne around. I have enjoyed watching her grow into a young lady from a sweet little girl. She is now almost finished with her first year of high school. Just like my nephew will, only Karlyn is a few months older than Ian. That gap won't exist when they are older will it? ha. These are not the very recent pics of Karlyn, they are from Thanksgiving 2009. I guess 4 months is still recent for a teenager sometimes isnt it?

Still Dirty

Like I said, River is ALLL boy. He wants to make sure all the dirt and mud tastes the same in different areas. We have fun exploring outside whether we are hiking, playing or watering the yard. The moment the door opens River dashes trying to get outside. SO I know as soon as he is able he will be spending much of his day outside playing. Those of you that have seen my house know there is a lot, too much in fact, land to roam and nature to explore. I may have to get a tracking device for him, Ha!

Get Down and Dirty

It was a beautiful day here in Malibu, Ca Thurs Feb 26, so River and I decide to go outside with the dogs and play for a while. Well River is ALL boy so he goes right for the dirt every time. He is exploring everything in his world right now. He loved the dirt, leaves, rocks, all of it! We had a blast!!

Southern Cali Rain

We may not get a lot of it here but when it does rain, it sure is great. On Saturaday it rained most of the day and it rained hard. Just when I was getting ready to go somewhere the rain broke and the sun came out. I was outside and there was a beautiful double rainbow. I ran inside and grabbed my camera to capture it. If you look closely you can see the glimpse of the second rainbow, but regardless the main rainbow is strong and beautiful.I couldn't help and take some driving on the 101Fwy also of the rainbow. The rainbow followed us for a long time and we were the pot of gold at the end og it. I felt like a kid I was so giddy,

Discovering Freedom

My son River Has been approaching and looking at the doggy door for some time now, but he has finally learned how to open it. The rest is history from here. So I enjoyed the moment and went outside to capture his fun. He loves his dogs so he was thrilled to play with the door while they came in and out of the door.
